Spray Tanning
First, exfoliate your skin thoroughly 24 hours before your appointment. This helps to remove dead skin cells and creates a smooth canvas for the tan to adhere to. Use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt, and pay special attention to rough areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.
Next, make sure your skin is clean and free of any products like lotions, oils, or deodorants on the day of your spray tan. These can create a barrier that prevents the tanning solution from being absorbed evenly. Opt for a shower just before your appointment, and avoid applying any skincare products afterward.
Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment to avoid any potential staining and to prevent the tan from rubbing off on tight fabrics. Slides or thongs are recommended to wear. You can choose to have your spray tan wearing a disposable g-string which will be provided, your birthday suit, or wear your own dark coloured underwear.
If you have any specific concerns, such as sensitive skin or allergies, be sure to discuss these with your technician beforehand.
Finally, after your spray tan, follow the aftercare instructions provided by your technician. Generally, this includes avoiding water, sweating, and tight clothing for at least 8 hours to allow the tan to develop fully. Moisturize regularly to maintain your tan and keep your skin looking radiant.
By taking these steps, you'll be well on your way to achieving a beautiful, sun-kissed glow that looks natural and lasts longer.
